   Blue Sunday
  Lord, thank You
for our children,
For them we kneel and pray.

Help us teach them of Your kindness,
Of Your mercy
and Your way.

Help us show them
of Your love,
your strength
and safety, too.

Help us show them who You are.
Help us treat them like You do.

Let's pray,
educate ourselves, and volunteer
for the children
of our nation
until black and blue are just colors in their crayon box.

Blue Sunday's efforts towards relief for foster children are being felt nation-wide but we don't only motivate and help others with projects.  We practice what we preach.  We reach approximately 1200 children annually with our local programs:

Foster Family Skate Date where foster children learn to skate and make happy memories with brothers and sisters.

Back to School Bash where foster children have a meal together,
hear a presentation, play together and take home free school supplies.

Blue Zoo Day is held at Gladys Porter Zoo.  This is a favorite event for foster children.

Annual Christmas Party for Foster children and all other children receiving services from Child Protective Services.

We also support the Child Protective Staff through sponsorship of appreciation dinners, workshops, supplies and necessary tools such as recorders and cameras.  These folks have thankless and often misunderstood jobs and deserve our support and prayers.
